1. What The Fine Print is

The Fine Print is an AI-powered contract review tool that provides general guidance on creator brand deal contracts. It is built on industry knowledge and experience from both sides of creator economy deals.

2. What The Fine Print is not

The Fine Print does not provide legal advice. It does not create a solicitor-client relationship, a lawyer-client relationship, or any professional advisory relationship between you and The Fine Print, Wax On Legal, or any individual associated with this tool.

The guidance provided is general in nature and based on common patterns in creator brand deals. It is not tailored to your specific legal circumstances, jurisdiction, or risk profile.

You should not rely on The Fine Print as a substitute for qualified legal advice. For high-value deals, complex rights issues, or any situation where you need certainty, consult a qualified lawyer in your jurisdiction.

3. No liability for reliance

The Fine Print is provided on an "as is" basis. We make no warranties or representations about the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of the guidance provided.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any loss, damage, or expense arising from your use of or reliance on The Fine Print, including but not limited to any contract you enter into, any negotiation position you take, or any commercial decision you make based on guidance from this tool.

4. How we use your data

When you use The Fine Print, you provide us with your name, email address, and the contract text you submit for review. Please see our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your data.

Your contract text is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis. We do not store your contract text after the review is complete. Anthropic's data handling is governed by their own privacy policy and terms of service.

5. Your contract text

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any contract text you submit. Do not submit contracts that contain confidentiality obligations preventing you from sharing them with third parties, unless you are comfortable with the terms of this service.

We do not claim any rights over the contract text you submit or the reviews generated.

6. Acceptable use

You agree to use The Fine Print for its intended purpose: reviewing creator brand deal contracts and related agreements. You agree not to:

  • Use the tool for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, extract, or replicate the underlying prompts or knowledge base
  • Misrepresent the output of The Fine Print as formal legal advice
  • Submit content that is illegal, harmful, or unrelated to contract review
